A few people (who shall remain nameless unless they wish to be named, but I do know who they are) started sharing pages kind of as a game... Let see how many likes we can bump this page to... and my word, the likes shot up like crazy in a matter of a few hours... So they did it a few more times... this started to catch on and then other people started sharing. It's exciting to watch a page you shares like go up and the excitement that the page owner feels when they see it! In turn it is equally exciting to see your own likes go up too.
Quick note: This is not about asking others to share you, but about doing something nice for someone else WITHOUT expecting to get anything in return.

As a community that has been riddled with hate and drama from time to time it is refreshing to see this happening *faith in humanity restored*
This is a new year and we have started it off on the right foot, or should I say hand lol. Here's to a Love-fulled 2014!
I have created a photo that anyone can use to Share the Love, use this on your page or blog if you'd like. You will notice that I have not watermarked this photo and I would like for it NOT to be. It is meant for everyone to use it.
Here you go! Feel free to download this image an use it where ever you would like!

It is awesome and I am loving every single aspect of it! And so far no one has even complained about all of the spam on my page!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me so happy! It's so sweet of everyone to start this, and it's definitely really awesome to take part in it. This definitely shows what the nail polish community should really be about ^-^
ReplyDeleteSo amazing!! <3
ReplyDeleteThat is so great!! I'm just a reader, and I had no idea about the hate and drama going on but I'm glad to hear that this movement is happening! =)
ReplyDeleteGoing to use the pic as well! :)
ReplyDeletePlease do!
DeleteGreat idea! I would use the banner definitely! It's sweet!
ReplyDeletePlease do use it! That's what it was made for :)
DeleteI think among all of the drama that sometimes riddles the polish world it is great to see so many makers and bloggers support each other!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such an awesome thing to be doing! I can't believe how many new likes I've had today...... and how many super new blogs, pages and makers I've discovered :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway,thank you.Love your blogs :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! The polish drama has been crazy today, so this is so refreshing!
ReplyDeleteIt's really a great idea! I discover so much new blog and brand about nail polish and nail art! Very wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMany! Not much! Sorry, my english is sooo bad!
DeleteBeing new into blogging its nice seeing this kind of thing happening as there is a little drama from what little I've seen going on. Nice work on giving a helping hand!
ReplyDeleteSo awesome! I noticed this going on today. I have liked all of the brands and bloggers that are new to me but most of them I already had liked. Such an amazing idea! I wish I had my blog in the mix lol.
ReplyDeleteawesome! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea and I do plan to share it. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteIt's been such a great day in the polish community!
ReplyDeleteI love how our community is building and growing together. I love that it was started by a couple people and now it has spread like wild fire. I am speechless. colouremyobsession aka Diana
ReplyDeleteThis is really awesome! And as a recipient of some of the "love", I can say it really feels wonderful to have so many new people coming to your blog or page and to see new likes. I feel loved!
ReplyDeleteYou ladies that started this are just amazing! This love is so wonderful, I am not new to the community (my page is, but not ME) and I have not seen THIS much AWESOME-NESS in the nail community for the past two years I've been here! It's about time :) Thank you to everyone participating and making dreams come true! So much love!--Megan
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome, and I'm simply amazed by how many new followers I have just overnight. Thank you all for participating in this! I can't wait to share some more pages :)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all the positive energy flowing within the nail polish community right now. I absolutely love it!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic idea!!
ReplyDeleteYess! Today has been amazing and I've had SO MUCH fun sharing and having my page shared out. I LOVE watching the likes just go up and up whether on my own page or someone elses. Mine are still going right now actually, it's INSANE. I go on about every ten minutes and have about ten more new likes everytime. It's crazyness.
ReplyDeleteYesterday and today was amazing and very inspiring!! Amid all the drama that has gone on lately, it was wonderful to see the blogging and indie making sides come together and share each other's talents and celebrate each other! I found a lot of new pages and polish companies to check out :D
ReplyDeleteLets keep this love going!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the idea of "Sharing the Love" and everyone working on getting everyone else's blogs or indie nail polish out on facebook as well as sharing them with ALL of their friends are so GREAT! I have seen firsthand some really rotten, nasty and tasteless fights going on inside comments and threads that have left a bad taste in my mouth. This really helps to restore my personal feelings that nail addicts such as ourselves can play nicely when given the chance!!!! <3
ReplyDeleteWow! Amazing Giveaway! And a great way to Share the Love :P Just out of curiosity is the Zen and Coffee page a nail page or a page for gloves??
ReplyDeleteZen & Coffee is an artisan that has sponsored a prize in the giveaway, they have donated a pair of lace gloves as a prize! Who couldn't use something pretty on their hands to help highlight their beautiful mani ;)
DeleteThat is amazing! I'm a nail blogger and I'm going to use the pic on my blog! We are a one community we have to share the love!
ReplyDeleteI'm late to the #sharthelove party, but I have shared lots on Facebook and Twitter and am following tons more on their blogs, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. It's great, isn't it. It's how I found you too :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to get some positive energy flowing in the nail polish world! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteIt´s awsome to share the love with you all :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Amazing Giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThere are sooooooo many indies and artisans that have donated prizes! It is HUGE!
DeleteWow that's so cool. ^_^
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! So happy to share the love <3
ReplyDeleteThis is a really cool idea, and I like it.
ReplyDeleteLovely idea!
ReplyDeleteWe all have at least our love of lacquer in common - plus hey, new friends! <3
ReplyDeleteI can't thank these companies enough for sharing the newer indies. There is so much talent out there to share!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing ! Sharing is caring :)
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about this giveaway! I love NailNation and love that the nail community can come together for some fun! :)
ReplyDeleteSeeing all the love floating around has been so awesome! I really hope it continues! <3
ReplyDeleteI love them. I get to see so many new brands and it really opens up the community to newbies, like me!
ReplyDeleteI think it's awesome that they all are doing it! I have found so many new pages to like! I really hope it continues!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see some positivity in the nail polish community. Sometimes I get a little disappointed with how ugly people can be toward one another over nail polish(first world problems) but it usually just makes me laugh. Keep it going ladies and gents ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty cool! Starting out and under-appreciated blogs getting a boost as well as established ones. Everyone working to help each other instead of the nastiness that goes around sometimes. And a bunch of new pages to check out. Very fun! Thanks to everyone involved! :D
ReplyDeleteIts awesome! I went from 30 to 143!!! And I myself most likely liked over 200 pages, lost count but so many awesome people! :D
ReplyDeleteThis has been such a fantastic opportunity for smaller, newer blogs like mine and I am so thankful!! I am currently at 333 likes when I had less than 150. Thank you!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Post
ReplyDeleteI love this Share the Love event! It's been great getting to see new-to-me blogs. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for being a part of the huge giveaway with NailNation and all the other indie makers!!
ReplyDeleteThe Share the Love movement has thoroughly touched my heart, and I have found so many new pages to like this way. I am so excited to see the love being spread around!
ReplyDeleteNeffy you are awesome! Thank you for the swatches you do for Nail Nation 3000 polishes, and thank you for being so friendly to a newbie like myself, you shared my page on FB and have just been a really friendly, supportive, and helpful fellow polish lover. Hope 2014 is your best year yet! Good luck to everyone! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a little bit frustrating that #stl completely clogged up my newsfeed all weekend, and I think I was a little bit bummed that nobody, even my frequent commenters, shared my page, but I can appreciate the thought behind it. I also didn't go requesting it from anyone because whereas I definitely would like more followers, I want them as a result of doing work that gets noticed and not just because I begged it off other bloggers. Again, I appreciate the sentiment behind it, and I think the organic love was really wonderful, but it got out of hand with the whole "oh will you share my blog too?" and "comment here if you want me to share your blog". That just felt really inauthentic and stank of blatant self-promotion to me.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you feel that way. How else are people going to find you if your page if it's not shared. When pages were shared it wasn't mandatory that people like it... If someone liked what they saw on the page they would like it. Only way to get your art or product out there is by promoting it. A lot of pages asked people to post links to their pages and blogs, you could have posted a link amd had yours shared.
DeleteConsider my lesson learned, and thank you for it. I'd definitely been having a bad weekend and I think I was starting to get a bit of burnout, coupled with starting week 2 of no cigarettes. I get it now - share the stuff you actually like. Like the stuff you actually like. Negative thinking got me down yesterday, but I think I'm back in the right headspace today.
DeleteI don't think this is promotion or how promotion should work. You're diluting the place for posting content, to promote loads of other people, often without even saying who or why - just links. Imagine if clubs worked like this? And when you got into the club, it was advertisements for 50 other clubs, and suddenly you realized there was nothing to do in that club but leave. Sure, your numbers will go higher, but where is your content? So I understand where Fixin' to Faff is coming from, and I'm not the only one that feels this way or has unfollowed a lot of pages lately. Sure, your numbers go up, and people don't have time to mention that you're spamming - they just leave, the ones that have their nail pages all in a list that they check regularly.
DeleteThat's why I have been saying that people are NOT going about this is the way it was intended! Again this was meant to be a selfless act of kindness and some people have taken it to far. If all a page outs doing is spamming news feeds with shares they are wrong, I agree, however this will continue to be a positive thing if we correct the ones whom are not going about it in the right way. You can't fix something if you do nothing to correct the problem. Please feel free to read this blog post and see what Share the Love is about.
DeleteThis Share the love was a grand idea!! thanks for sharing the love :)
ReplyDeleteSharing is caring
ReplyDeletethanks for doing this <3
ReplyDeleteI am glad that this started, because I have found so many new nail pages
ReplyDeleteI shared it on my FB page ^_^
ReplyDelete<3 this idea
ReplyDeleteI love the Share the Love idea, to keep up with the idea maybe you could do a feature on your blog every week? Other than that, I love to see swatches and reviews of indie polishes!
ReplyDeleteThe share the love is wonderful! Also, I would like to see more nail art! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the Share the Love idea! It's great to see people getting along and the negativity coming to an end!!! I'd also like to add that I love to see swatches of new polishes that come out. It helps me to decide if they are colors that I want to buy myself!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea, awesome! mail cogitoergosum8587@yahoo.it
ReplyDeleteI will love to recive some love on my pages as well. On facebook : https://m.facebook.com/FairyjossyCreations and on instagram : http://instagram.com/fairyjossy

Super excited about this giveaway and being introduced to all these bloggers and indies I'd never heard of before. :)
ReplyDeleteReally cool, so fun to see all these different blogs and indie designers!
ReplyDeleteMy feed is cluttered with Shares and I love it!!! It's great to see everyone supporting each other!!
ReplyDeleteReally nice giveaway and wow - all those indiepolishes and blogs i didn't know about! Got some catching up to do!
ReplyDeleteI love this type of giveaway! I've shouted out so many deserving indies, and none of my friends have complained (haha at least to me) about all the polish "spam." Good job ladies!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! I have found countless new indie polish pages and tons of blogs that I never even knew about before! <3
ReplyDeleteit's been great to see all the love!!
ReplyDeleteWho knew how good this would be for indies? I love it!
ReplyDeleteSuch an awesome giveaway! Yay for sharing the love!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all these wonderful bloggers and indie makers supporting each other! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteI love this! Thank you for helping others! I really need to get in on that with my blog since it is new!
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty phenomenal movement that's really helping smaller bloggers to reach a greater audience
ReplyDeletePretty fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE <3 this!! totally awesomeness going on.
ReplyDeleteThank you - love this!
ReplyDeleteNew followed and hope to be following for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing so much positivity! It's a drag that there are those who want to create 'drama' and rain on peoples parties and even more unfortunate is how loud their voices often are compared to many of us that just want to take it easy, have fun and get along.
ReplyDeleteGreat post =D
I think it is awesome what is going on in the nail community. I have found some really good people to follow from the few that I was following to begin with. It's funny how in the nail community, everyone is excited to see others do well and succeed. It's not like that in the makeup community, everyone always competes with each other.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful idea! Keep it up! I'm loving this!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm just a reader, and I had no idea about the hate and drama going on , but it's a great ideea
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeletejust wanted to say i love your blog and think youre fantastic hun
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI have found so many nail art and polish maker pages this way. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome blog!!!!
ReplyDeletei think this is a great way to focus all the energy in the nail polish community! :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove share the love!! It was an amazing idea!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic idea!!! I wish I had gotten in on it when it was going strong. I have been way out of the loop lately. Thank God I subscribe to Nailnation notifications or I might have missed it completely. LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean when it was going strong... It still is and this was never meant to be such a huge thing or to only be a one time or a weekend thing. Share the Love should happen all the time.
DeleteA beautiful idea!
ReplyDeleteReally sharing is caring! Thanks for everything and for your blog!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea! :) It's nice to see a some support on the internet, rather than hate!
ReplyDeleteI just started reading your blog and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info! I saw the #sharethelove and saw pages increase "likes" by the 1000s. Pretty awesome! I just got into polish and am crazy about all of these blogs, great to be exposed to so many indie polish makers.
ReplyDeleteThis giveaway gave me the opportunity to find some great pages <3 as a nail artist it's like gold <3 !
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS MESSAGE!! Thanks for letting me add this image and message to my blog! IF it's ok with you I will add a link to this post so others know what it is about:) If it's not ok let me know!
ReplyDeleteThat is perfectly fine with me. Thanks for sharing!
Deleteall you bloggers are awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThis community is filled with so many awesome people <3 It's nice to see everyone work together to make someone's day & get them more followers!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! ♥
ReplyDeleteI have liked just about every page I've seen shared so far. It is nice to see the love instead of the drama. I never understand why ppl have to be so rude or mean. I always want to say, is just nail polish ladies, not the end of the world! LoL hope some of the drama stays away for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI have noticed this also. Many of my favorite Nail Polish makers are sharing others pages now and I think it is great! It is nice to have less drama and more love of polish!
ReplyDeleteThe #sharethelove thing has exploded for so many nail art lovers love the idea everyone is doing it :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful idea (thank you to the starter and everyone partaking). It's nice to see everyone come together & lift one another up!
ReplyDeleteIt was crazy that initial weekend, but it is still going on...I'm still seeing new likes every time I log on to my page. It's nice to see something actually fun going on instead of reading what the latest drama uproar is.
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit! I've both absolutely LOVE and HATE this! LOVE, because each share, each new page, each new creative mind, whether trapped in a bottle or painted on our ten mini canvases, is inspiring and beautiful. HATE, because there are just TOO MANY DARN POLISHES I NOW WANT TO BUY! <3
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same boat lol. I cut up my credit cards a while ago or I'd be in serious trouble lol
DeleteSharing the Love! :)
ReplyDeleteThis has to be the BEST giveaway I have ever seen! I have just recently started to get into nail polish and nail art...teaching myself how to take care of my nails and hands...purchasing lots of polish, dotting tools, and stripping brushes...plus looking for quality polish...this would be AWESOME for me. As a mother of 3 I don't have much money to spend on myself so this would help out a lot :-)
ReplyDeleteThe giveaway is being run by Nailnation, not me... but I agree her giveaway is awesome!
DeleteGreat post for a great cause!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd rather see the spamming than the hate! seriously! At least it gives those who choose to be nasty as a sport a way to consume their energy! Sadly, I've come to the conclusion that nothing turns their heart for the positive&better, so let's wait and pray that bad things don't come riding the love wave :(
ReplyDeleteOther than that, I already told you about my list trick on favnailscom ... Seems to be working fine until now :)
I am not sure what you are talking about with a list trick on favnails.com.
